Hailing from Sacramento for over 50 years, he holds a deep connection to the community as a fourth-generation Sacramentan. With a strong commitment to family, Steve is a dedicated husband and proud father of two daughters.
His journey in finance commenced in 1990, focused on aiding business owners in securing SBA financing for property acquisitions. Prior to his banking career, Steve delved into the snow ski industry, gaining valuable early work experience.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Steve’s passion for cycling has spanned 35 years, with a stint in the mid-1990s dedicated to pursuing a career as a professional mountain bike racer. His involvement in philanthropic causes began during his tenure with the Active 20/30 Club, fostering a lasting commitment to supporting children’s causes. Merging his love for cycling with fundraising, Steve co-founded and actively leads a Masters Cycling Team, dedicated to raising funds for the Shriners Hospital for Children, a cause close to his heart.
